On 6 November 2026 we searched Google Maps for dentists in two Mississauga neighbourhoods. Business owners will see something familiar: the neighbourhood name does a lot of work.

Not one practice appeared in both. A practice that leads in Port Credit may not show at all in Streetsville.
In both areas, five of the eight top listings carry the area name in the practice name. Your profile, site and name signals all tell Google where you are.
The most reviewed practice in Streetsville ranked fourth, behind Streetsville Dental, which has 48.
How we checked: Google Maps in Chrome, typed as “dentist in [area], Mississauga”, top eight listings in the order shown, 6 November 2026. Results shift by person, device and hour, and some listings may be paid, so treat this as a snapshot of the pattern, not a ranking report. We name businesses only as they appeared in public results. None of them is a client. Limits: one category, two areas, one day, top eight shown. Name patterns are read from listing names only.
These come up in nearly every conversation with an owner or office manager.
Your customers love you, and the people who have never heard of you still call someone else.

Fix: compare profile, categories, site and listings side by side, and close the gaps.Someone moved on a year ago and their page and photo are still live.

We work with Mississauga businesses remotely. The work happens on your website, your Google profile and the sites that mention you. Mississauga customers tend to search by neighbourhood, so we build around the area you serve: Port Credit, Streetsville, Meadowvale, Erin Mills, Square One and beyond. We also have pages for dental, healthcare, home services, real estate and law firms.

No, but it helps Google read where you are. In our 6 November 2026 check, five of the top eight in both Port Credit and Streetsville had the area name in the listing. We never advise changing a legal name for SEO, but there are other ways to send the same signal.
No practice appeared in both lists. Google leans heavily on distance, so each neighbourhood has its own top group.

Map results typically start to move in 60 to 120 days, depending on how contested your area is. We review against a dated baseline at month three.

It depends on how many areas you serve, how contested your category is and how much needs fixing first. We do not publish a fixed fee, because it would be a guess. On the free 30-minute call we look at your situation and tell you what the work would involve.
Yes. People still search Google and Maps when they need a local service, and AI answers draw on the same signals: a clear site, a complete Google profile and consistent mentions elsewhere. We work on both and report on both.
